Success Stories

J - First Direct - £1750!

• Account 1 - £840
• Account 2 - £1085

First letter written on the 2nd April requesting the amounts above.

Initially, I only received one letter back a week later offering £600 for Account 1.

I refused this offer on the grounds that the letter implied that this would "complete my claim against the bank". As I had not received any other correspondance I asked for it to be re worded.

I also sent the "Letter Before Action" as I had no response regarding Account 2.

On the 9th May I received offers of:

• Account 1 - £720
• Account 2 - £1030

I have accepted this offer.

T - First Direct - £2623

I claimed £3086.50 and received an offer of £2623.50 which I accepted. Only a shortfall of £463.00.

I only had to go to step 3 - writing a letter to the bank asking them to refund my charges

G - HSBC - £750

• Claim 1 - £640 - Settled for £440
• Claim 2 - £360 - Settled for £310

Claim 1 dragged out of a period of 4 months, HSBC made a settlement offer as soon as the hearing date came through.

Claim 2 only took a month, and was settled before a claim was filed in court

L - Barclays - £1100

Thank you so much for your help, my partner has just received £1090.00 from Barclays
a substantial proportion of the charges they had taken form his account.

C - First Direct - £1468
